A full-spectrum environmental services firm built on scientific rigor, regulatory expertise, and field-proven results — serving federal agencies, state and local governments, and commercial facilities nationwide since 2008
Our mission is direct: provide every facility we serve — from federal agencies and state departments to commercial office buildings, healthcare campuses, hotels, schools, and industrial plants — with environmental programs that are technically sound, regulatory-compliant, and built to last. If your building has running water, a cooling system, a boiler, or environmental compliance obligations, GSS has the expertise to manage it. Not programs that look good in a proposal and degrade in the field. Not compliance documentation that satisfies a checkbox but fails under scrutiny. Programs that protect public health, reduce lifecycle costs, and produce measurable outcomes backed by technically defensible data.
Environmental services are not a commodity regardless of who the client is. The difference between a contractor who understands the science and one who follows a checklist becomes apparent the first time a system fails, a culture result comes back positive, or a regulator asks a question the contractor cannot answer. GSS was built on the premise that every client — whether a federal military installation, a county courthouse, a commercial hospital, or a privately owned office tower — deserves the same level of technical depth that the most demanding industrial facilities receive. The only way to deliver that consistently is to staff programs with credentialed technical personnel, write site-specific treatment plans from actual water chemistry data, and measure performance against documented baselines.
Water treatment, environmental compliance, and facility sustainability challenges do not belong exclusively to any one sector. GSS serves a wide range of clients across the country — wherever buildings have water systems that need to be managed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations.
VA medical centers, military installations, federal courthouses, GSA-managed buildings, DoD facilities, and other federal agency properties. GSS holds GSA MAS contract vehicles enabling streamlined procurement without full and open competition requirements.
State agencies, county and municipal buildings, public schools and universities, transit authorities, water utilities, and local government facilities of all types. We understand public-sector procurement, budget cycles, and the accountability standards that come with managing taxpayer-funded assets.
Hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, and research institutions where Legionella control, sterile water management, and water quality are patient-safety imperatives. We write Water Management Plans that satisfy Joint Commission, CMS, and state health department requirements.
Hotels, resorts, office towers, mixed-use developments, shopping centers, and commercial properties across the country. Whether you manage one building or a national portfolio, GSS delivers consistent, documented water treatment and environmental compliance programs at every location.
Manufacturing plants, processing facilities, data centers, and industrial operations with cooling towers, boilers, process water systems, and environmental compliance obligations under federal and state air, water, and hazardous waste regulations.
K–12 schools, colleges, universities, and non-profit institutions managing aging water infrastructure, Legionella risk, and environmental compliance on constrained budgets. GSS brings the same technical rigor to every campus regardless of size or sector.
GSS was founded in 2008 by water treatment chemists and environmental engineers who had spent their careers working inside facilities — not selling to them from the outside. That field-first perspective shaped everything about how we operate: we staff our programs with credentialed technical personnel, we write our own treatment programs rather than relying on supplier templates, and we measure our performance against documented baselines rather than anecdotal assessments.
Our early work centered on industrial water treatment for DoD and state agency installations — cooling tower and boiler chemical programs at Army and Air Force bases where Legionella control, scale prevention, and corrosion management were mission-critical concerns. That foundation in the most technically demanding segment of facility management gave us the depth to expand into broader environmental compliance, commercial water treatment, site assessment, and sustainability services without sacrificing technical rigor.
Today GSS serves more than 50 active clients spanning federal agencies, state and local governments, and commercial facilities across the country — managing water treatment programs, environmental compliance obligations, and sustainability initiatives at facilities ranging from VA medical centers and military installations to commercial office towers, hospitality properties, healthcare campuses, and municipal water authorities. Wherever a building has running water and a need for professional environmental management, GSS has the credentials, the science, and the field experience to deliver.
Our credentials are not marketing copy — they are the technical and regulatory baseline that qualifies us to operate across government and commercial environments and deliver the services we promise.

The environmental services market is full of firms that can describe what they do. Fewer can show you documented results, verifiable credentials, and a track record of zero regulatory violations across 200+ projects in both the public and private sectors. Here is what actually differentiates GSS.
Every water treatment program GSS delivers begins with a site-specific water analysis and a written Technical Treatment Plan. Inhibitor selection, dosing rates, control parameter targets, and monitoring frequencies are calculated from your actual water chemistry data — not copied from a supplier's standard template or assumed from regional averages. When your system's water chemistry changes, your program changes with it. That is how you prevent scale, corrosion, and Legionella — whether your facility is a federal building, a commercial hotel, or a manufacturing plant.
We do not ask clients to take our word for program performance. Every service visit generates documented water analysis results — inhibitor residuals, microbiological counts, corrosion coupon data, and system operating parameters — compiled into monthly reports that demonstrate compliance with defined control limits and regulatory requirements. If a parameter is out of range, the report documents it, explains why, and records the corrective action taken. That is the standard every client should expect from every contractor they hire.
Our field personnel are not general maintenance technicians assigned to chemical programs. They are licensed water treatment specialists, HAZWOPER-certified environmental technicians, and registered environmental professionals who have spent careers managing complex facility water systems. They recognize system problems before they become compliance violations, interpret water analysis data in the context of the specific system they are managing, and make technically sound decisions in the field — not after calling the office.
Knowing that regulations exist is not the same as knowing how to implement compliant programs. Knowing that ASHRAE 188 governs Legionella programs is not the same as knowing how to write a Water Management Plan that satisfies a health inspector, a Joint Commission surveyor, or a VA compliance officer. Our environmental professionals have the regulatory depth to implement compliance programs correctly — for federal, state, local, and commercial clients — not just describe them in a proposal and hand implementation to a junior technician.
Water treatment, environmental compliance, facility O&M, laboratory services, and emergency response are not separate business lines at GSS — they are integrated capabilities delivered by a single team that shares knowledge of each facility's systems, history, and regulatory profile. Whether your facility is a military base, a county office building, a hotel, or a hospital, you get one accountable team that eliminates the coordination gaps and liability gaps that arise when multiple contractors manage pieces of the same facility.
Whether you manage a federal installation, a state agency building, a commercial office tower, a hospital, a hotel, or any facility with running water — GSS has the credentials, the science, and the field experience to protect your building and your people. Contact our team today.
